Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1) The Junior QA shall perform comprehensive quality assurance testing on software products developed by the Company. This includes but is not limited to.
- Functional testing to ensure that the software meets the specified requirements.
- Regression testing to identify any unintended changes or impacts on existing functionalities.
- Performance testing to evaluate the responsiveness and stability of the software under various conditions.
- Compatibility testing across different devices, platforms, and browsers.
- User acceptance testing to verify that the software meets the end-users' expectations and usability requirements.
2) Test Planning and Documentation: Contractor shall develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications provided by the Company. This includes:
- Creating detailed test plans outlining the scope, approach, resources, and schedule for testing activities.
- Documenting test cases to systematically validate each aspect of the software's functionality.
- Writing and maintaining test scripts for automated testing where applicable, to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency.
3) Defect Management: Contractor shall identify and report defects or issues discovered during testing. This involves:
- Documenting defects with clear and concise descriptions, including steps to reproduce and expected results.
- Prioritizing defects based on severity and impact on the software's functionality.
- Collaborating with the Company's development team to investigate and resolve defects in a timely manner.
4) The Junior QA Engineer shall actively communicate with the Client's project team to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables. This includes:
- Participating in project meetings to discuss testing progress, issues, and risks.
- Providing regular status updates and reports on testing activities and findings.
- Collaborating with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to address concerns and improve software quality.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate global customer engagements across different time zones
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
Preferred Skills
- Background in IT, computing, software, or programming language
