How CAMB.AI and AWS are Bringing Emotion-Rich Multilingual Dubbing to Live Broadcasting
CAMB.AI and AWS deliver real-time, emotion-rich multilingual dubbing in 140+ languages, making live broadcasts accessible for all viewers.
As live content continues to dominate global viewership — whether in sports, entertainment, or news — broadcasters face a growing challenge: delivering these moments to diverse audiences, in real time, across languages. Traditional localization methods are often too slow, expensive, or technically constrained to scale. But a new approach is now available, powered by artificial intelligence and the cloud.
At CAMB.AI, we've spent the past few years pushing the boundaries of voice AI, and our long-standing collaboration with AWS has played a crucial role in that journey — from training our MARS5 voice model on AWS infrastructure to integrating our MARS6 text-to-speech system into the AWS Bedrock ecosystem. Today, this collaboration enables broadcasters and content owners to embed CAMB.AI's multilingual AI dubbing into their live streaming architecture using AWS Media Services.
Making Live Stream Content Accessible
Despite the global nature of sports, news, media, and entertainment, most live broadcasts remain limited to one or two languages. AI dubbing helps eliminate this barrier: by enabling real-time audio translation into over 140 languages, we help audiences experience live events in the language they understand best, without delays and without compromising speaker tone or emotional nuance — increasing global viewership, boosting sponsorship opportunities, reducing localization costs, and deepening fan engagement.
A Seamless Technical Workflow, Built for Scale
- Video ingest starts with AWS Elemental MediaConnect, securely transporting the feed into the cloud.
- CAMB.AI's DubStream system receives the stream via SRT, adds dubbed audio tracks in the selected languages, and returns the enriched stream to MediaConnect.
- The multilingual stream passes through AWS MediaLive (transcoding), MediaPackage (origin), and Amazon CloudFront (global distribution).
- Modern video players automatically detect alternate audio tracks, letting users select their preferred language.
The system works without modifying your original video or primary audio feed — it simply adds alternate language channels, making it a plug-and-play solution for multilingual delivery. This unlocks faster time to market, lower localization overhead, higher content ROI, expanded international fan bases, and enhanced value for sponsors and advertisers.
