Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the technical bridge between our sales and product teams, providing technical expertise throughout the entire sales lifecycle. You will work closely with both prospective and existing customers to demonstrate how our solutions meet their specific business needs.

Responsibilities

‍Technical Sales Support

  • Partner with the sales team from initial prospecting through customer onboarding
  • Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of both VOD and Live Streaming technologies to effectively conduct proof of concepts (POCs)
  • Assist in technical discovery with prospects to understand requirements and pain points
  • Support the design and presentation of custom solution demonstrations tailored to specific customer needs
  • Respond to RFPs/RFIs with accurate technical information and compelling value propositions

Sales Enablement

  • Contribute to technical sales collateral, including presentations, product comparisons, and competitive analyses
  • Help develop reusable demo environments and scripts for the sales team
  • Assist account executives in understanding the technical aspects of our products and services
  • Keep sales teams updated on product roadmaps and new feature releases
  • Support the development of tools and processes that improve sales efficiency and effectiveness

Customer Engagement

  • Deliver engaging technical presentations to stakeholders at all levels
  • Assist in creating customized proposals and offers that address specific customer requirements
  • Participate in technical workshops and discovery sessions with prospective customers
  • Provide technical guidance during contract negotiations
  • Support smooth customer onboarding after deal closure

Qualifications Required

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a technical presales role, preferably in the video streaming or content delivery industry
  • Strong technical understanding of VOD and Live Streaming technologies, workflows, and challenges
  • Capability to manage a live stream, troubleshoot issues, and serve as a streaming engineer during a proof of concept (POC)
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience working with international clients and adapting communication style accordingly
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously across various stages of the sales cycle
  • Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate global customer engagements across different time zones
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and deployment models
  • Knowledge of content protection technologies and DRM solutions
  • Understanding of video encoding/transcoding processes and formats
  • Familiarity with API integration and developer workflows
  • Experience with networking concepts related to content delivery
