Position Overview:
As a Vendor Manager at camb.ai, you will play a critical role in overseeing our relationships with vendors and ensuring that all partnerships align with our business objectives. You will manage the end-to-end vendor lifecycle using our centralized vendor management platform, driving efficiency, quality, and compliance across all vendor engagements. Your work will directly support the organization’s ability to deliver on operational goals and maintain high standards in service and supply.
What You’ll Do
- Manage and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring clear communication and alignment with company standards.
- Lead the vendor selection process, including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and onboarding of new vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance against agreed service levels and key performance indicators, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand their requirements and ensure vendor solutions meet business needs.
- Oversee contract management, renewals, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular vendor reviews and participate in audits as required.
- Handle vendor payments and invoice processing in close collaboration with the Finance team.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvement, and risk mitigation within the vendor base.
- Take ownership of designing and building a system to track metrics, maintain accurate records, and generate reports for leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in vendor management within the same industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in vendor management, procurement, or supply chain operations.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with SaaS-based vendor management platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
- Knowledge of contract law and vendor compliance requirements is a plus.
