We are growing rapidly and are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to help scale our platform.
Position Overview:
As a Backend Engineer at CAMB.AI, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing server-side logic, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, data engineers, and AI specialists, to ensure our platform remains robust, secure, and scalable.
- Design, develop, and maintain server-side features for CAMB.AI’s localization platform.
- Implement and optimize APIs to support seamless integration between frontend, backend, and third-party services.
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to ensure smooth integration of machine learning models into backend systems.
- Ensure the scalability and performance of the backend infrastructure to handle large-scale data processing and real-time video streams.
- Optimize and refactor existing code to improve efficiency, scalability, and security.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve any server-side issues or bottlenecks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, ideally working with scalable and distributed systems.
- Proficiency in backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, Java, or Go.
- Strong experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, and experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance optimization and scalability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in working with video processing or AI-driven solutions.
- Familiarity with serverless architecture.
- Knowledge of security best practices and experience in securing APIs.
