Audiobook Quality Assurance Associate – Audiobook Production (Full-Time)

Role Summary:

The Quality Assurance Associate will serve as the key reviewer and quality gatekeeper in CAMB.AI’s audiobook production pipeline. This role is critical in maintaining the accuracy and excellence of script and audio output across our freelance network. The ideal candidate will possess an eye for detail, a strong command of Hindi language and audio review skills, and a deep understanding of audiobook production workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Script Quality Review: Review recording scripts submitted by freelancers for formatting, accuracy, structure, and adherence to internal guidelines.
• Recording Script Approval: Check and approve scripts marked as “recording ready” and provide feedback or corrections where necessary.
• Audio QC: Review AI-generated audio files for quality, tone, pronunciation, and flow. Identify issues such as robotic delivery, incorrect breaks, or mispronunciations and coordinate with freelancers for corrections.
• Final Delivery Review: Perform final-level QC to ensure that release-ready audio files are complete, error-free, and in line with CAMB standards.
• Freelancer Coordination: Communicate directly with freelancers to provide quality feedback, resolve doubts, and ensure corrections are implemented efficiently.
• Vendor Onboarding Support: Assist in training and onboarding new freelancers, providing examples and clarifying expectations to help them succeed.
• Best Practice Development: Contribute to process improvements and documentation. Suggest quality tips, recurring fixes, and support materials that improve freelancer performance and overall workflow.

Qualifications:

‍

• Experience: Experience in audiobook production, proofreading, voice-over workflows, or editorial QA roles. Prior experience in working with freelancers is a plus.
• Language Skills: Proficient in English and Hindi. Strong grasp of Hindi phonetics and grammar. Familiarity with Sanskrit terms is an added advantage.

• Audio Sensibility: Good ear for audio clarity, pacing, pronunciation, and tonal flow. Ability to detect and document voiceover errors.
• Attention to Detail: Proven ability to identify textual and auditory errors with consistency.
• Team Collaboration: Empathetic communicator with the ability to train, support, and motivate remote freelance talent.
• Process Orientation: Comfortable working with structured workflows, file versioning, and digital collaboration tools.
• Technical Comfort: Familiarity with basic audio players, document editors, and task management systems. Training on internal tools will be provided.
